It's a really great specialist textbook and also of general interest for any botanist. It could give you good ideas about topics to write on, and writing style.

I am working as a Professor in Biochemistry since last 24 years.Few students have obtained PhD degrees under my supervision.My area of research is biactives of medicinal plants and their pharmacological activities.
