Work: My broad research interests encompass citizenship, belonging and globalisation, transnational migration, diaspora politics, human rights advocacy,and law and development. My current research interrogates existing liberal universalist conceptions of transnational citizenship in the context of globalisation and human mobilities, particularly trying to illuminate the complex factors which shape cross border migrants' senses of belonging and identity in contemporary Africa.
