Greeting to a newly-joined member who is a retired researcher

Dear XYZ,

Thanks very much for joining our network.

Since starting to build this network in 2001, I have been keen for retired or semi-retired researchers to join. In theory, people in your position are more likely to have time to offer volunteer help to others.

Or if seeking payment for services, retired researchers can bring much experience to the services they offer.

In any case, please look around, and ask me questions at any time.

I would be very grateful if you can invite other retired colleagues to join. Any suggestions on how to more effectively encourage retired researchers to join would also be welcome.
