A message to all members of The Research Cooperative

Previous instructions on how to send messages in the main forums of our network were not sufficiently clear. Please consider the following, and ask Admin. for clarification if the instructions are still not clear. All members can help us improve the network!

There are two approaches that can be taken to send messages in the forums for offers and requests.

(1) Use a 'Send message' button, and then select the forum category. This button is shown immediately above the list of forums (for offers and requests) in the main page. Alternatively, you can go to the 'Send' tab in the menu above, and then choosing to send 'Offers or Requests' .

(2) Select the forum category and then use the +Add button above the forum title. To select the forum category first, go to the 'Search' menu above, choose 'All offers and requests' , and then select the forum you want from the list provided. Alternatively, you can select the forum directly from the list shown on the Main page (see menu above).

When you choose the 'Send message' or +Add button, the following fields will be shown. They are listed here with brief instructions on how to use each field:

Message Title (make it short and informative)

Post (your message - usually an offer or request)

Category (choose a forum from the list provided; the default category is the forum for 'Editing offers'). Please make sure to choose the exact forum you want to use.

Tags (keywords, separated by commas; these will help others find your message, not only within our network, but in searches on the Internet with commonly used search engines such as Google. Please take advantage of tags to give your offer or request maximum visiblity.

Attach File(s) (this option is useful if you want to show an example of text to be edited or translated, a personal cv, or other relevant information).
