5th International Ege Energy Symposium and Exhibition (IEESE-5)

Services archive

Hi - this a suggestion from the Research Cooperative: when planning a conference like this, it would be good to also start a plan to find editors, translators and publishers for publications that might arise from sessions or the conference as a whole. For example, a request could be placed in our forum for editing requests asking for 'Expressions of interest' in editing papers for contributors to the conference. The request could include a condition that expressions of interest should come from editors with particular interests or skills relevant to the conference themes. The Research Cooperative forums can be used flexibly and creatively in this way -- to raise awareness of conferences that are planned, and the likely needs for getting conference results published.Best regards, Peter (for the Research Cooperative)

Reviewers solicited for Journal of Ethnobiology (a cross-posting)

Services archive

Today I joined the Society of Ethnobiology ( http://ethnobiology.org ), and found the following request for volunteer reviewers on the SoE website: "The Journal of Ethnobiology is seeking to expand its pool of volunteers who review manuscripts submitted to the Journals editors for publication. The Journal receives manuscripts in paleoethnobotany, zooarchaeology, ethnobotany, ethnozoology, ethnoecology, linguistic ethnobiology, and other related areas of anthropology and biology. If you have expertise in one or more of these fields and are willing to serve as a reviewer, please contact the Journals editors, Virginia Popper and Heather Trigg, at editor(at)ethnobiology.orgIf you are interested in reviewing ethnobiology-related books and multimedia for the Journal, please contact book review editor Cynthia Fowler at fowlerct(at)wofford.eduWe welcome suggestions for materials to review, or we could provide you with one of the texts in our inventory. Both the Journal of Ethnobiology and the Society thank you for your interest and service. "That is a very clear and nicely written request. On behalf of the Research Cooperative, I invite other journal publishers to present similar requests, as needed, in the present forum of the Research Cooperative.Peter Matthews, for the Research Cooperative (and also acting independently on behalf of the Society of Ethnobiology).

Dear Nining,I have moved this information from the forum for editing offers to 'projects' because it seems to be information about a project, not a request or offer for editing. When people see your message, what would you like people to do? Discuss the contents? Edit the contents? Translate the contents? Help you get the contents published?Best regards, Peter
